Aria Collection by Rena Dumas

Stories Editor's Pick Aria Collection by Rena Dumas

Throughout her outstanding career, Rena Dumas has been the brilliant, creative mind behind the architectural style of Hermès stores around the world. Not only did she spearhead their interior design projects from 1976 until her death in 2009, but she also designed some memorable furniture collections for the French brand.

Fascinated by the potential of simple geometric shapes and the freedom one can find in restraint, Rena Dumas conceived her “secret garden” of designs, a series of beautiful furnishings created for her and for a few private residences.

The Aria collection falls into this category; it is an exquisite exploration of solids and the art of subtraction. The highly structured console is made of stacked cubes in natural brushed oak that can transform into new variations and shapes, including the timeless bedside table.

Simple, yet utterly sophisticated, the Aria console and bedside table are available for the first time through The Invisible Collection.
