Canap\u00e9 ON appartient \u00e0 la ligne de mobilier imagin\u00e9e par Oscar Niemeyer \u2014 l’architecte moderniste br\u00e9silien \u00e0 qui l’on doit Bras\u00edlia et le si\u00e8ge des Nations Unies \u2014 en collaboration avec sa fille Anna Maria Niemeyer, durant ses ann\u00e9es d’exil politique \u00e0 Paris. Frustr\u00e9 par un mobilier des ann\u00e9es 1970 qui ne refl\u00e9tait pas l’architecture de son temps, Niemeyer entreprit de dessiner lui-m\u00eame ses meubles, portant ses courbes sensuelles jusque dans le bois et le m\u00e9tal.<\/p>\n
Cr\u00e9\u00e9 pour l’h\u00f4tel Sesc de Copacabana, ce canap\u00e9 reprend l’esth\u00e9tique moderniste des formes simples et rectilignes tout en la faisant d\u00e9vier gr\u00e2ce aux courbes caract\u00e9ristiques de Niemeyer qui parcourent la structure en noyer am\u00e9ricain teint\u00e9.
