Form\u00e9 d&#8217;abord \u00e0 l&#8217;ing\u00e9nierie, Chareau abordait le mobilier comme ses b\u00e2timents, comme une question de lumi\u00e8re, de structure et de proportion, refusant l&#8217;ornement superflu au profit de formes qui semblent \u00e9videntes plut\u00f4t que d\u00e9coratives.<\/p>\n<p>Assez petite pour se glisser \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 d&#8217;un fauteuil tout en restant r\u00e9solument architecturale, la Table Cendrier repose sur un tr\u00e9pied en m\u00e9tal oxyd\u00e9 et noirci \u00e0 la main, surmont\u00e9 d&#8217;un cendrier en laiton, un objet \u00e0 la fois spirituel et fonctionnel qui montre combien Chareau \u00e9tait pr\u00eat \u00e0 traiter jusqu&#8217;au plus petit accessoire comme une v\u00e9ritable pi\u00e8ce de design.
