C\u2019est en 1989 qu\u2019il esquisse une s\u00e9rie de formes cylindriques entrecrois\u00e9es de plans perpendiculaires pour composer assiettes, bols, et autre plat. Mais les prototypes en acier r\u00e9alis\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque n\u2019avaient pas atteint la pr\u00e9cision souhait\u00e9e. Quelques d\u00e9cennies plus tard, les artisans de Puiforcat, en appliquant les techniques traditionnelles de l\u2019orf\u00e8vrerie pratiqu\u00e9es dans l\u2019atelier de la maison, sont parvenus au degr\u00e9 de pr\u00e9cision consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme la norme de l\u2019\u0153uvre de Donald Judd. Sous la direction artistique du fils de l\u2019artiste, ils r\u00e9alisent cette collection constitu\u00e9e de huit pi\u00e8ces compl\u00e9mentaires \u2013 assiette \u00e0 d\u00eener, \u00e0 pain, creuse, \u00e0 salade, \u00e0 dessert, ainsi qu\u2019un plat rond, une grande assiette \u00e0 pain et un gobelet.
