Form\u00e9 d&#8217;abord \u00e0 l&#8217;ing\u00e9nierie, Chareau abordait le mobilier comme ses b\u00e2timents, comme une question de lumi\u00e8re, de structure et de proportion, refusant l&#8217;ornement superflu au profit de formes qui semblent \u00e9videntes plut\u00f4t que d\u00e9coratives.<\/p>\n<p>S&#8217;inspirant de l&#8217;antique forme curule longtemps r\u00e9serv\u00e9e aux si\u00e8ges d&#8217;autorit\u00e9, le Tabouret Curule \u00c0 Sabots courbe son assise et ses pieds en acajou en un seul mouvement continu, chaque pied rejoignant le sol sur un petit bloc sculpt\u00e9, ou sabot, qui \u00e9voque presque un sabot animal.
