Stories Interviews Interview With Fanny Moizant

– What does your home mean to you?

My home is my everything, my base, my air bubble, the place I reconnect with myself and my family. It is a happy, elegant and comfortable space that I shaped years after years.

– Your favourite architect or interior designer

I am a big fan of Mallet Stevens. I love the clean lines and the graphical spirit of his work. They are still very contemporary nowadays. His Villa Noailles in Hyeres is stunning.

– Your favourite hotel in the world

I have travelled in a lot of countries and beautiful hotels but my favorite one is in south of France. It is “Le Mas de la Fouque” in Saintes Maries de la Mer in Camargue. It is a great mix between design and nature. The landscape is very wild, the vibes are peaceful and food just amazing.

– “The ultimate luxury or supreme elegance?”

Simplicity! For me it is all about simple but beautiful things. Real elegance remains in the details: a shape, a beautiful material, a touch.

– Something of bad taste you secretly cannot resist to ?

I love food packaging. When I travel abroad, I cannot resist going to the supermarket and buying the chicest or weirdest packaging I find. The problem is I barely use or consume the products so i display them in my kitchen for a while until the next trip.

– An object or a piece of furniture that has always accompanied you?

My Soulages Eau forte. I am a fan of Soulages’ work. Creating light through black painted material is quite fascinating. On top of that, Soulages comes from the same city as I do in South of France, Sete : Another reason for me to love the man and his work.

– What are your favourite pieces among our collection of furniture?

My ideal lamp is India Mahdavi’s Shadows Lamp. I love its warm colours as well as its generous and sculptural shapes.

My dream chair is Jérôme Faillant-Dumas’ Elephant Armchair. I am addicted to velvet and especially when it is green. This one is fun with its elephant ears. I love it!

I adore the Nazar Rug by Atelier Fevrier with its thousand eyes and organic shapes. It makes you want to admire it for hours, a glass of champagne at hand.
