The thing with Scandinavian vintage is that one can never get enough! All the more so, when said designs come in gorgeously revived versions by Norki, the world renowned specialist of bespoke hides, skins and furs for interior decoration, as well as of upscaled vintage furniture.
Norki’s co-founder Thierry Linard regularly unearths beautiful pieces that are then upscaled and upholstered with the best materials – shearling, leather, fur. Skilled wood artisans and upholsterers creatively reuse the vintage designs by adding that little twist that lends the pieces a newfound originality.
The latest covetable furnishings available through us include some iconic mid-century pairs of armchairs by Svante Skogh and Folke Ohlsson, arguably two of Sweden’s most successful designers. The latter is also the founder of Dux, one of the largest Swedish manufacturers in the fifties. Each pair of armchairs has been re-upholstered with Norki’s best materials.
Our selection comprises some rare & irresistible sofas, including a completely renovated Hans Wegner’s “Cigarren”, and a darling little piece upholstered in ruby-red shearling. Last but not least, a lovely set by well-known manufacturer Broderna Andersson: circa. 1950 sofa and armchair in teak upholstered with “merlot”-coloured sheepskin.
