The Host 1 Lounge Chair by Atelier Tortil is inspired by the world of the city and nature. This new line of furniture created by Jean-Pierre Tortil offers a score of pure, supple and taut lines.
Throughout his thirty-year-long career, Jean-Pierre Tortil has been collaborating with some of the most remarkable French designers, including Michel Boyer and Andrée Putman. A specialist of mid-twentieth century’s decorative arts and high craftsmanship, he has worked on countless high-end residential projects by spearheading space planning and designing the furnishings, whilst collaborating with international brands in the likes of Christophe Delcourt, Tai Ping and Firma Casa. Having spent several years in Brazil, Jean-Pierre worked with many contemporary artists creating original sets and scenographies for their live performances. In 2019 he founded Atelier Tortil, his high-end disruptive lifestyle brand of bespoke furnishings and rugs.
