Artist and illustrator, Victor Cadene collaborates with Maison Thevenon who specializes in textile fabrics to give his very own interpretation of French “toile de Jouy”. The print, initially developed as a table cloth, brought the team to create an interior and intimate object: A screen. Inspired by shapes of the 17th century, imagined for a bedroom or a bathroom, this screen was designed with a central cut out, this frame an is an invitation to be seen behind the screen. French Cliché worked different know hows; an upholsterer and carpenter to build the screen. Once put together, the piece was sent to Victor Cadene. Armed with his paints, gold powder and brushes, Victor underlines the printed linen, brining movement to the dancer, light to the fountain and shine to the red apple.
