The presence of the hand of the craftsman in each detail of the Checkmate lamp designed by Garance Vallée, makes account the controlled and humble gesture on a living material. When the contrast of the color is made by the assembly of a massive material of a brown and raw wood, hand carved and a white matte ceramic, soft to the touch.
Thanks to their extensive experience with distinguished agencies in the likes of international architecture firm Shigeru Ban or Pierre Yovanovitch New York, Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski decided to join forces to combine their knowledge and savoir-faire.
