The G.J. Chair by Leo Sentou features a circular seat inspired by those crafted by Maître Ebéniste (master cabinet maker) Georges Jacob (1739 -1814), whilst the elegantly curved back is a contemporary reinterpretation of the horse shoe shape, both quintessential motifs of late eighteenth century French design. Entirely handcrafted in Europe by a team of artisans, the deceptively simple frame, made entirely of limed oak, and upholstered in linen, is testament to the skill of its makers.
Trained at the ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres School in Paris before moving to London to take a master’s degree at Central Saint Martins, Leo Sentou works on high end residential and hospitality projects honing his skills and sense for detail, whilst growing a strong passion for beautiful finishes. In 2021, Leo launched his first furniture line that encapsulates his love for noble materials and exceptional craftmanship.
