Geometrical way of life – A hundred years and it feels like yesterday, a hundred years of a school that changed our practice and understanding of design, art and architecture. Founded in Weimar in 1919, the Bauhaus School unfortunately closed in 1933, but its ideas have lived on to conquer the world. Today, essential shapes and primary colours return in Michele Chiossi’s creations, clear homages to a philosophy that made history: figures as metaphors for an entire system of existing objects, colours pregnant with symbolic meaning. Rectangles, triangles, spheres, alchemic games that create new proportions and combinations, geometric figures and objects that emerge from fortuity to reach beauty’s innermost roots.
