The Babka Coffee Table by Popus Editions carries a name that may evoke images of a plump, pillowy bun. However, the inspiration for this coffee table came from a beloved piece of the designers’ wardrobe. Drawn to the playful, colorful patterns of a favorite skirt, they incorporated elements of this design to create a coffee table that is as visually delectable as it is fashion-forward. With its irresistible charm and distinctive style, the Babka side table is sure to become a favorite among design enthusiasts.
After the successful launch of La Fibule and Refuge, two labels dedicated to lifestyle and chalet design, Yannick and Fanny Gicquel moved to London in 2015 and founded Popus Editions. This full immersion into British culture, steeped in colours, careful details, and shimmering patterns, has inspired the design duo a cheerful collection of furniture pieces that screams joie de vivre.
