The Takosu Wall Lamp by Victoria Magniant is the result of the designer’s quest to create a warm and vibrant yet ecological light. Victoria Magniant collaborated with Wilfried Allyn, an exceptional craftsman, based in western France. Together they developed thick sandblasted glass tubes to soften the luminous flow of a 2700K LED light. A curved brass plate reflects the light from the glass tube creating a beautiful warm light. The patina finish applied to the brass’ exterior surface lends the Takosu Wall Lamp a sculptural, yet functional, quality.
Token of her personal engagement in social and ecological issues, her research explores the bridges between traditional manufacturing and innovative technologies. She is well-known for attentively pondering culture, craftsmanship and ethics before determining which materials she will use for her creations.
