Adèle Beaumais, a brilliant and creative ceramist, discovered her passion for this craft during a trip to Italy. “It was an exchange program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, and they had an vast ceramics workshop where we could go as we pleased,” she recalls. “I spoke very little Italian, so I did my best to understand the teacher; despite a few kiln explosions, I managed to learn a few things!” Now back in Normandy, she dedicates her time to creating colorful, delightful ceramics. She doesn’t conceive her designs as directly connected to nature but rather draws inspiration from ancient representations of it. You could almost say she interprets the interpretation of nature!
