Born and educated in Scotland, Gwen Hardie lived and worked in London and Berlin before settling in New York City in 2000. Now an accomplished artist, her work is featured in private and public collections such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the British Council, London, and the Calouste Gulbenkian Modern Collection, Lisbon. Besides her ongoing collaboration with Invisible Collection, Gwen Hardie will present a solo show in San Francisco, at Dolby Chadwick Gallery. A series of paintings exploring the effects of color, defined by a subtle interplay of chromatic gradations that mesmerize the viewer: The bidimensional canvas comes to life in a tridimensional dream.
