After graduating at Loughborough University where she interned for Spanish designer Nacho Carbonell, Hannah Simpson began to teach herself ceramics. It was a way to continue her passion for the combination of art and design during the covid -19 pandemic. Looking to nature for inspiration, Hannah noticed that the world and everything in it is constantly moving. Hannah’s work is a playful reaction to our everchanging surroundings. Exploring form, colour and texture Hannah produces lamps and sculptures that often look like a creature or unusual life forms. Her aim is to have her ‘creatures’ subtly living among us constantly changing and developing as does her own practice.
