Lina Shamma has had many lives: after studying architecture and working in finance, she turned to more artistic endeavors creating her own jewelry label, making waves with her unique jewels made up of vintage stones, precious metals and uncommon materials. Now, she is a full-time passionate potter based in Beirut. Focusing mainly on fine porcelain and Raku, Lina has developed her personal style creating unconventional interpretations of everyday objects. A combination of design skills and aesthetic fluidity, her works are vulnerable and provocative, yet respectful of form and function. Ever pushing the envelope, Lina’s ceramics are immediately recognizable for their intuitive playfulness.
