A Princeton graduate, AD 100 architect Giancarlo Valle grew up in San Francisco, Chicago, Caracas, and Guatemala City. His namesake studio is an international award-winning New York-based design practice encompassing the worlds of architecture, interiors, and the decorative arts. His signature style is defined by what he calls a holistic approach, as the studio conceives projects that are refined, playful, carefully designed, and unexpected. “Design is fundamentally about conversation—between styles, cultures, objects, and people,” he confided to AD Magazine. “And this conversation hopefully leads to unexpected results that bring joy and delight.”
