A graduate of Saint Martin’s School of Art & Design, Victoria Magniant won the Discovery Prize at the Maison & Objet exhibition in 2015. She is an independent multidisciplinary designer who views her work as sharing. Highly aware of social and environmental issues, she explores the synergies between ancestral manufacturing methods and innovative technologies. In choosing a material, she speaks for an entire culture, a body of knowledge, and an ethical code of craftsmanship. Her candid, luminous creations visually convey a strength and fluidity that reflect their creator. Her creations are ingenious balancing acts, invisible assemblies, islands of poetry.
