      Founded by Raphaël Le Berre and Thomas Vevaud, Le Berre Vevaud builds furniture from a shared admiration for Luis Barragán and Gio Ponti — pure lines, Art Deco echoes, and an unwavering commitment to French craftsmanship.

      The Barth stool by Le Berre Vevaud is carved entirely from solid travertine, a material choice that turns a simple seat into an exercise in monolithic sculpture. Raphaël Le Berre and Thomas Vevaud let the stone’s natural pitting and warm ochre tone speak for themselves, refusing any applied finish that might mask its geological origins.

      Produced entirely in France, the stool showcases the country’s stone-carving craftsmanship at a scale rarely attempted outside architecture. Each piece carries the faint variations native to natural travertine, meaning no two stools ever emerge from the workshop quite identical.

      The Designer
      Le Berre Vevaud

      Le Berre Vevaud is a design studio founded in 2008 by Raphaël Le Berre and Thomas Vevaud. They draw inspiration from the work of Luis Barragán and Gio Ponti, creating timeless interiors that exude elegance and attention to detail, infused with subtle Art Deco reminiscences. Their tailor-made designs are characterized by simple yet uncommon shapes with a focus on a careful selection of materials and colors that lend each piece a distinct stand-alone quality. With a taste for beautiful materials, and the understanding of their infinite combinations, they favor the use of precious woods, sometimes enhanced by sophisticated finishes, or kept in their raw state.
