      EDITOR’S NOTE

      The Glow Collection by Sophie Dries debuted at Milan Design Week 2021. Commissioned by Mr.Lawrence and presented at the CTMP Design Auction –celebrating the most influential voices of the contemporary collectible design scene- this striking piece is available in a limited edition. Sophie Dries’ choice of paper draws from the papier-mâché́ process that lends the pieces a raw, textural, stone-like quality.

      The Designer
      Sophie Dries

      Architect and designer Sophie Dries seeks to achieve the “cosmic essence of matter”, a concept expressed by Brancusi. After honing her skills at the famed studios of Jean Nouvel, Pierre Yovanovitch, and Christian Liaigre, she founded her namesake practice in 2014. Striking the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, her aesthetic is defined by elegance, authenticity, and boldness. Valuing exceptional materials and superior craftmanship, she merges traditional craft techniques and innovative know-how. Moreover, her special affinity with Arte Povera and its exploration of simple, natural materials, informs her creativity and her desire to embrace sustainability.
