EDITOR’S NOTE

The Mini Silver Spoon Blue pairs a silver-plated body with a detail of hand-carved cylindrical lapis lazuli, its plain handle letting the deep blue stone take centre stage. The quartz-family mini spoon is more jewelry than tableware, small enough to sit beside a coffee cup or salt cellar.

It is handcrafted by some of the finest artisans in Como, Italy, a region long associated with fine metalwork and stone carving. The lapis lazuli is carved entirely by hand, meaning the veining and depth of blue vary slightly from spoon to spoon, each one genuinely one of a kind.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

The Designer

Natalia Criado

Born and raised in Colombia, Natalia Criado, discovered her passion for design at a young age. After studying Industrial Design at IED in Milan, she returned home enriched by this experience.

Her creations come from the expert hands of Colombian and Italian artisans who, collaborating with her, combine design and craftsmanship, giving life to minimalist objects, typical of contemporary art. In addition, she creates designs for the home, including 'Joyas en casa’ which means “Gems at home”, a tableware collection that brings strong, ‘sculptural’ qualities to everyday objects. With natural stone accents, these designs carry a jewel-like quality blended with an industrial personality.
