      Alain Bourdon can read minds. A graphic designer who seems like a translator, he hunts down meaning to give it shape. He approaches projects with the stoicism of the ancient philosophers whose books grace his nightstand. His creations speak of far-reaching thinking that covers every discipline. Cerebral and earthy, a lover of cabinets of curiosities, climbing, and musical serialism, he has turned his love of surfing into material for “The Minimalist Wave”. It is an ‘obsessive project about a wave’ that this EnsAD Decorative Arts graduate presents in different variations with each encounter and every tide. His series, a model of pared-back elegance, is hypnotic. We hope it will be eternal.
