Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Production Coordinator specialized in furniture design and production. You will act as the vital link between our designers, workshops, and clients, ensuring smooth production processes. Your role will be key in adapting furniture drawings to meet specific client needs and bespoke requests.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination
   • Present furniture projects to various workshops, manage bids and cost estimates, supervise prototype production, and select workshops for client orders.
2. Production Coordination
   • Oversee order management from validation of drawing to ex-works delivery.
   • Work closely with designers and workshops to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
   • Handle necessary adjustments during the manufacturing process.
3. Customization and Technical Modifications
   • Adapt technical plans to fulfill clients’ customization requests (e.g., adjusting dimensions of a sofa or a piece of furniture).
   • Create technical drawings and plans using CAD software to validate modifications with designers, workshops, and clients.
4. Communication and Client Support
   • Serve as the point of contact between clients, designers, and workshops to clarify technical requirements.
   • Provide transparent and efficient updates to clients on their order progress.
5. Process Optimization
   • Identify areas for improvement in production workflows.
   • Propose solutions to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
6. Promote Sustainable and Responsible Production
   • Collaborate with workshops and suppliers to prioritize sustainable, recyclable, or certified materials (e.g., FSC-certified wood, eco-responsible textiles).
   • Reduce project carbon footprints by optimizing production processes and limiting waste.
   • Encourage innovation in manufacturing methods to incorporate eco-friendly practices.
   • Inform and educate designers and clients about eco-responsible options (e.g., material choices, local production processes).

Desired Profile

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD/3D modeling software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of materials and luxury furniture manufacturing processes.
• Ability to create precise technical drawings for customized adjustments.

Personal Qualities:

• Meticulous and detail-oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders (designers, workshops, clients).
• Responsiveness and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2–3 years in a similar role, ideally in luxury furniture or high-end design.

Education:

• Bachelor’s to Master’s degree (Bac +2 to Bac +5) in industrial design, interior architecture, or a related field in furniture production.
