Imagine yourself at home, sitting in your favorite armchair…: What would it look like? Would it be a traditional wingchair or a bold statement piece? High back and straight armrests in clean, geometric lines or more rounded, almost puffy shapes? Not to mention the structure… and the legs: visible or not? And what about the best fabric: velvet, bouclé, leather? Is this too much to think about? Relax; we’ve got it covered, literally and otherwise. The Invisible Collection presents a wide selection of unique armchairs that have a willingly timeless style lending the pieces a collectible quality. Created by contemporary star designers, including AD 100 listers, all our designs are handmade by the best craftsmen in Europe who can accommodate any bespoke request. Some of our designs tap into midcentury modern elegance, whilst others draw inspiration from the refined tradition of French Arts Décoratifs. The armchairs come in different materials, including certified woods, and are upholstered with the finest fabrics from custom bouclé by Pierre Frey, to soft shearling by Norki. In addition to the contemporary, iconic armchairs regularly featured in lifestyle and interior decoration magazines, we offer a curated selection of re-issues created by some of the masters of twentieth century design. Pierre Paulin, Oscar Niemeyer, Eileen Gray, Pierre Chareau, to name but a few are on the roster of The Invisible Collection, side to side with today’s masters in the likes of Pierre Yovanovitch and Charles Zana. Their different styles are a reflection of the designers’ vision, exquisitely made with laser-focus attention to detail. For instance, the Asymétrie armchair by Pierre Yovanovitch requires hours on end of fitting the fabric on its sculptural frame, a painstaking work done by the skilled artisans of Atelier Jouffre. Thanks to innovative techniques paired with traditional woodworking some armchairs stand out for their sculptural presence. Furthermore, our iconic armchairs can be displayed as accent armchairs in a sophisticated living room or in an elegant bedroom, and complement any contemporary décor.
