Lighting

Architects and interior decorators know all too well that lighting is an essential aspect of any well-designed interior: light sculpts the space and can totally transform the overall atmosphere. It goes without saying that hundreds of books have been written on this topic, spanning from illuminating essays on the work of Louis Kahn, Tadao Ando, and John Pawson to name but a few to the indispensable little book “1000 Lights” published by Taschen. Light artists too are a great inspiration to successfully design lighting for interiors: everyone is in awe when admiring James Turrell’s installations or Bob Wilson’s mesmerizing sets.

Ingo Maurer is another great influence when it comes to pairing technical innovation with brilliant creativity: the German master has truly pushed the boundaries of light design. Invisible Collection presents a selection of stunning lighting solutions created by the most talented contemporary artists, glass masters and designers. Our catalogue encompasses all kinds of designs: one-of-a-kind ceiling lights and pendants, covetable floor lamps, elegant desk lamps, unique sconces and wall lights, and a few gorgeous chandeliers. All these pieces are made to order by the best craftsmen in Europe.

Invisible Collection is committed to best ecological practices; hence our offer of energy-efficient designs that include LED lights and lower consumption parts. Our lights are made by some of the most talented light designers of their generation, including Jeff Zimmerman. Our curated selection of lighting mostly focuses on contemporary designs; however, we felt it was important to represent certain styles from the past - including Brazilian midcentury modern and Art Deco re-issues by Pierre Chareau - that are still relevant today. When it comes to lighting, our star designers merge the most cutting-edge shapes with the most ancient materials, wood, bronze, glass, stone and alabaster… Each material offers unlimited possibilities in terms of dimensions and shapes from the elegantly concave Takosu wall lamp in brass by Victoria Magniant, to the sculptural Eole floor lamp in plaster by Pierre Augustin Rose.

More magic comes from glass and its many variations - free-blown or hand-blown- : its versality inspires the most otherworldly designs by Semeur d’étoiles and Pierre Gonalons.

Beside the unique beauty of our lighting, the pieces are designed with innovative hanging systems that enhance their uniqueness and facilitate their installation and maintenance. Moreover, these bespoke, made to order lighting fixtures are eco-friendly. We hope you’ll enjoy browsing our lighting collection available on theinvisiblecollection.com
