About Us

Invisible Collection is the leading online platform for discovering the world’s best interior designers and access their unique work, handcrafted by the best artisans.

Curated

Invisible Collection is first and foremost an assertive eye for style, an unmistakable taste for design, and an informed talent for curation. We promote the lifestyle we love by gathering and showcasing the best talents of interior design and craftsmanship. On our online platform, as well as in our exclusive showroom, design connoisseurs can find the perfect piece(s) to decorate and transform their interiors in a very personal way. From Charles Zana’s iconic Alexandra Sofa, Jérôme Faillant-Dumas’ exquisite Cabinet of Curiosités, Damien Langlois-Meurinne’s sculptural Coming Over Table to the whimsical Conversation Collection by Vincent Darré, Invisible Collection is the go to place where design meets art. Invisible Collection is a proud partner to the Maisons d’art from le19M, a space dedicated to savoir-faire created on the initiative of Chanel, and Mobilier National, the French national institution for the preservation and promotion of French design

Contemporary

Like any other art form, design is a mirror of its time. The pieces of furniture we select reflect the best work conceived by great artists and designers around the world today, all handpicked for their relevance and uniqueness. We strongly believe in the talent of each designer we represent and work with them closely in order to follow their creative process, witnessing how new beautiful works are created. Most of all we value their originality and their contemporary take on every single piece of furniture they design. By supporting and promoting these XXI century talents, we take on the challenge of building a bridge between the masters of the Decorative Arts’ golden era – Jean-Michel Frank, Pierre Chareau, Jean Royère, – and those we believe to be their contemporary heirs.

Bespoke

Love a piece but need different dimensions, custom fabrics or a special finish? We value the ultimate luxury of bespoke: our pieces are made to order, and in most cases bespoke, thus accommodating to clients’ needs. We work with designers and craftsmen to customise colours, fabrics, lacquers, materials and dimensions, to make every piece truly unique and impeccably manufactured. We personally guarantee the authenticity and quality of each piece, delivered with a certificate that attests all the information needed, should you wish to consign it to auction in the future.

Eco-Friendly

Invisible Collection champions sustainable luxury by supporting family-run workshops, local production and savoir-faire with a made-to-order atelier model. Proud to be certified B Corp Invisible Collection is the first luxury design platform to achieve this milestone. We deeply value time. We deeply value the craftsmen’s gesture, the excellence of their know-how and their thrifty approach; we believe in preserving local heritage and in supporting local production. We are committed to being socially accountable, as we strive to minimize our environmental impact whilst supporting local communities. All our furniture and objects are designed and manufactured to stand the test of time and to be passed on. We don’t mass-produce furniture, nor do we produce waste: each piece of furniture is made to order. We value the eco-friendly practices of our decorators and craftsmen who create unique designs by using noble, recycled materials and certified woods… We work closely with them to improve by the day, operating in ways that enhance the environment and local communities.

How did it start ?

It all began with a dream. Isabelle Dubern, a long-time admirer of Pierre Yovanovitch’s work, dreamt of owning a Papa Bear Armchair. Unfortunately, the only way to acquire her dream armchair was to hire Pierre Yovanovitch for a whole interior design project… While attending the Chelsea Flower Show in London, Isabelle shared her “impossible” dream with her friend Anna Zaoui, who just so happened to have chosen Pierre Yovanovitch for one of her projects in New-York. She offered to place an order for that particular piece on Isabelle’s behalf. The two friends, both passionate about interior design, realised that many beautiful site specific pieces are created by interior designers and architects for private projects around the world, without ever being offered to the public. These wonderful design pieces remain hidden and inaccessible. Invisible Collection, a reference to the short story by Stefan Zweig, was born with the aim of offering these confidential pieces to design amateurs and collectors around the world. Lily Froehlicher soon joined the project and, within months, Invisible Collection grew from a dream to an established name in the world of high end design. Building emotional connection through experiential settings, Invisible Collection has expanded its digital presence with dedicated flagships in London, New York and Paris, that are designed to feel like a private home.
