Francesco Balzano is a Parisian architect-designer whose childhood between Venice, Rome and Florence left him with an instinctive feel for stone, light and proportion, an instinct that now drives the sculptural furniture produced under his own label, SATTIO Studio, marrying Scandinavian minimalism with Italian grandeur.
This coffee table belongs to Swan III, the latest and most spectacular version of a collection Balzano first imagined as a tribute to Tchaikovsky’s ballet, its Breccia Aurora marble top cut to let the stone’s natural veining read like choreography frozen in place.
