The Stone Cloud 3 carries the imagination of Aline Asmar d’Amman, the Lebanese-French architect behind Culture in Architecture, whose work spans the historic renovation of the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris to the Lebanese Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. Across every project, she builds a dialogue between the raw and the precious, and the Stone Cloud 3 is where that dialogue takes physical form.
Stone Cloud 3 pairs a tabletop of grey onyx with a base of grey Vicenza stone, its rounded, drifting outline continuing the series’ central idea that a table can be carved to look weightless despite being built entirely from stone. Each edition’s veining is dictated by the quarry, not by design.
Aline Asmar d’Amman is the architect and founder of Culture in Architecture. Based in Paris and Beirut, her agency engages in cross-disciplinary work around the world, ranging from interior design to artistic direction and scenography in the fields of luxury hospitality, private residential and various design commissions, with a contemporary approach committed to the transfer of knowledge and to fostering cultural conversations.
