The Beausoleil sidetable seamlessly blends Glenn Sestig’s signature minimalism with Lison De Caunes’ magical artistry in straw marquetry. The title, Beausoleil, which translates to beautiful sun, perfectly encapsulates the essence of this collection. It eloquently evokes the shimmering patterns of straw, arranged in sunbeams that catch and reflect light, casting an irresistible allure. In Beausoleil, the unassuming and traditional straw is sublimated by the pure and graphic forms envisioned by Glenn Sestig. The straw inlay patterns create a striking contrast with the understated elegance of the furniture.
Lison de Caunes dedicated herself to the art of straw marquetry, continuing the tradition of her grandfather, the renowned decorator André Groult. From the beginning, Glenn has worked with his life and business partner artist Bernard Tournemenne, creative director at Glenn Sestig Architects, who is primarily dedicated to developing atmospheric palettes of textures, colors, and tones.
