Part of the Black Seeded Cast Glass Coffee Table, this piece reflects Courtney Applebaum’s vintage-first philosophy, a belief that furniture should arrive with a sense of patina and history rather than showroom polish. The Los Angeles designer treats each object as a small act of world-building, layering material and form the way she layers eras across the rooms she designs for her private clients.
Sharing its technique with the matching side table, the Black Seeded Cast Glass Coffee Table is formed from a hand-poured tabletop and legs made entirely of seeded glass, each element cast individually in iron molds before being fired and fused together. The resulting surface, deep and glossy as spilled ink, ripples gently under light, its textured edges left deliberately raw to reveal the hand of the artisan.
Los Angeles-based Interior Designer Courtney Applebaum was initially drawn to architecture and interior design as she saw these worlds as arenas for self-expression and beauty. Established in 2011, her studio is dedicated to creating spaces that brim with purpose and individuality through a mix of design periods, furniture styles and unexpected materials. Curated eclecticism that naturally evokes a minimalist mood is the hallmark of each project.
