Damien Langlois-Meurinne

Stories Editor's Pick Damien Langlois-Meurinne

Discover the AD 100 interior designer who is elevating French chic to new heights.

Damien Langlois-Meurinne never makes loud statements. His projects are always about softly murmuring the new codes of ultimate chic and subdued luxe. During his prolific career, started with a stint at Christian Liaigre before opening his namesake studio, Langlois-Meurinne has elevated French chic to a new, astounding level. With the confidence of a seasoned architect and the keen eye of an ineffable aesthete, he takes on projects that establish new standards in volume planning, decor schemes and color palettes like no other.

An avid surfer, he spends most of his time on the wild shores of Portugal – a country he fell in love with and where he found the most talented artisans – Damien still manages to travel the world and deliver some incredible interiors.  Like most of his AD100 peers, Langlois-Meurinne deploys all his talent when carrying out a full project, from the floor plan and decorating scheme to the last specially designed, bespoke piece of furniture gracing the space.

He thinks that designing someone’s home is like creating a unique perfume that both compliments and reveals one’s personality.

If most of his projects are defined by distinct palettes of creamy whites, light beiges and yellows and a dash of brass and gold, he can also play with bolder hues, sapphire blues, emerald greens, and ruby reds to enhance the dramatic effect of the setting.

As for the furniture, he seamlessly blends a variety of styles, unafraid of tapping into familiar tropes of 20th century design. The lines are sleek, the shapes are unconventional, the details are striking and the materials exceptional…resulting in a unique and captivating aesthetic.

As an interior designer, Langlois-Meurinne has a talent for creating diverse styles for each project he takes on. He achieves this by using a consistent architectural grammar but with a unique set of design elements, allowing him to craft one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, lighting fixtures and rugs that perfectly fit each project’s unique needs and aesthetic preferences. In this way, Damien‘s creativity, attention to detail and the collaboration of master artisans ensure that each project is a masterpiece in its own right.

That his projects ignite immediate Instagram frenzy is a given: everything is wonderfully balanced and inspirational, without ever being overpowering. No point in asking what his secret is, talent cannot be explained.

We are proud to present Damien Langlois-Meurinne‘s exquisite furniture exclusively since the inception of Invisible Collection.
