We are delighted to introduce a beautiful re-edition of rare designs by the ineffable Rena Dumas.

The Invisible Collection has partnered with RDAI to present a selection of Rena Dumas’ most emblematic designs. Beside the excitement of bringing back to life some striking pieces, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive into the work of one of our favourite design icons.

“We fell in love with design as teenagers and have never forgotten the day we both discovered Rena Dumas. – recall ecstatically our founders. While her designs are at home in the world of Hermès, there is an architectural dimension that has transported Rena’s vision to a universe all of its own”

A vanguard for design, Rena Dumas began her collaboration with Hermès in 1976, adorning over 300 stores in her serenely ethereal aesthetic, including the majestic glass brick Maison Hermès in Ginza, Tokyo, in collaboration with RPBW. Rena cultivated a distinctive style that unified her affinity for Japanese subtlety with the savoir faire of the French Decorative Arts. Her riveting designs have travelled the world, from Paris to New York, spanning architecture, interiors and furniture.

Today, we pay tribute to Dumas’ rich legacy and long-standing influence with this unique collection, re-edited in collaboration with RDAI, the studio she founded in 1972 and now under the direction of Denis Montel. The pieces we selected belong to what Rena Dumas poetically called her “secret garden”.

This lovely capsule collection comprises five exquisite designs, exclusively available through us. Created to enhance everyday living, the illusory floating nature of the Okéanis pieces, designed by Rena Dumas in the 1980s, stand alongside her structural Aria console and chevet, both powerful in their geometric stance. The Tapis Lumièrewoven with hand-knotted silk, completes the collection, embodying the balance of purity and light that remains synonymous to the designer today.

We are thrilled to present this exclusive re-edition of Rena Dumas’ furniture and share our passion for her timeless elegance and modernity: discover her designs and shop them exclusively through The Invisible Collection.
