Edmond Chastagnier was supposed to retire in 1976, after a well-spent career in teaching. However, his retirement soon became the beginning of a new career. Edmond settled in a nice village in the French region of Velay, and bought a small workshop specializing in metal fabrication. His dream was to build a company and pass it on to his progeny…: hence, Edmond & Fils.

Since then, the brand has flourished into a household name for the most sought-after outdoor furniture.
