Console Arca designed by RDAI

Stories Editor's Pick Console Arca designed by RDAI

One of the oldest, most appreciated natural stones in architecture, travertine was used to build the Coliseum in Rome and the Sacre Coeur in Paris… This beautiful material perfectly befits the almost primeval shape of this fascinating console designed by RDAI, and edited by Noma.

Arca is a simple tray placed on arched tubular legs; it taps into some of the most familiar architectural archetypes found in temples, aqueduct and amphitheatres. Made of recycled, fine residue of travertine stone, Arca is eco-friendly.

The sober, almost rough style, enhanced by the material’s texture, bears a strong sculptural quality; its timeless, monolithic-like presence compliments any contemporary décor. Arca is a perfect, new take on stone furniture and travertine’s unlimited possibilities.
