Background

Bertrand Pincemin is a French designer and scenographer who graduated from the prestigious ENSAAMA School for the applied arts in Paris. After collaborating on numerous large-scale projects for private and commercial clients in interior architecture, scenography and installations, Bertrand’s work now focuses on design research and the creation of one-off pieces, and limited-edition series. Bertrand lives and works in Rennes.  

Signature Style

Bertrand Pincemin’s passion for materials has led him to focus his work on the sheet, whatever its nature. This flat, thin, rectangular piece of material is light, easy to handle, malleable in a multitude of ways and with a variety of approaches. It enables Caporusso to carry out a great deal of research, resulting in projects that reveal the uses and possibilities of the material, with the use of techniques implemented by remarkable craftsmen with the aim of creating single-material pieces in a swift way. The result is a series of pieces which, beyond their own use, are destined to enliven and reveal spaces and places.

The Specchio collection echoes perfectly Bertrand Pincemin’s work. A mirror collection entirely in polished stainless steel, made from a single sheet of metal folded, welded, and polished by remarkable craftsmen. Specifically, Specchio Four, thanks to its square format, naturally suggests four positions (hence its name), offering a wide range of possibilities for highlighting spaces through its inclined sides and reflective thickness.”
