Background

Born and raised in Italy, now based in New York City, Marianna Fiorin is an Italian architect and interior designer. She grew up in the interior design business, as her family owns a mill in Italy that specialised in custom millwork. As a child, she liked sitting at her father’s desk looking at design magazines and sketching interiors. After graduating from IUAV in Venice, Marianna worked in Italy for a while, then following her curiosity and her dreams, she moved to New York City. In 2019 she founded her firm, “Marianna Fiorin Interiors”, specialising in high-end interior design, and now she is working in New York, Los Angeles, Jerusalem and Miami. For her interiors Marianna works closely with the best artisans and artists in the world, realising timeless unique spaces. Passionate about marble and its variability, Marianna designed a series of furniture pieces for her interior design projects, working closely with the marble workers in their workshops.

Signature

Marianna likes combining delicate organic shapes with impactful materials, giving unexpected emotions through her design. Both when designing furniture pieces and within the interior design practice, her style is eclectic and intense, while relaxed and balanced at the same time. Marianna uses predominantly irregular shapes, natural materials, and when introducing linear elements, she likes to play with unexpected textures, breaking regularity. Every space Marianna design has its own story, they are distinctive spaces where materials and natural light are the protagonists.

Showstoppers

The marble tables, with their soft organic shapes in classic timeless marble, can turn the simplest room into a powerful space, becoming a focal point. Marianna selected marble types with a strong texture, a leather finish, a soft shine and a texture appearance, which enhances the natural variation of the veins. The powerful material, in contrast with the delicate shapes, evoking Nature’s flower petals, gives unexpected emotions. Each piece, as made of marble, is unique, there will never be one piece the same as another. Beauty is ephemeral, with stone it can be ancestralised.
