Stories News New In: Glenn Sestig x Lison De Caunes

Introducing Beausoleil, a new collection of limited-edition pieces that transcends boundaries, embracing the beauty of collaboration and the artistry of two very creative minds.

When Lison de Caunes and Glenn Sestig met, something clicked right away. Let’s call it elective affinities, the meeting of kindred spirits. The magnetic connection between these two visionaries, with their own shining reputations in the world of interior design was evident from the start. He is a successful architect, catering to an international crowd that includes the renowned fashion designer Raf Simon and artist Luc Tuymans. She is known as the grande dame of straw marquetry, having singlehandedly revived this ancient craft and elevated it to new heights with her boldly innovative ideas. Now, they present Beausoleil, a limited-edition collection that we are delighted to include in our contemporary curation of covetable designs.

Beausoleil seamlessly blends Glenn’s signature minimalism with Lison’s magical artistry in straw marquetry. The title, Beausoleil, which translate to beautiful sun, perfectly encapsulates the essence of these designs. It eloquently evokes the shimmering patterns of straw, arranged in sunbeams that catch and reflect light, casting an irresistible allure. In Beausoleil, the unassuming and traditional straw is sublimated by the pure and graphic forms envisioned by Glenn Sestig. The straw inlay patterns create a striking contrast with the understated elegance of the furniture, which includes an exquisite range of tables and stools in colours selected by Glenn. Each piece is unique, created by hand with the greatest attention to detail and the use of premium of materials.
