Queen of Eclectic Chic

The new French star of interior design joins The Invisible Collection with an array of surprising, covetable designs.

Known for pairing the most unexpected colour palettes and for revisiting classic shapes with a whimsical touch, Laura Gonzalez completed her first project when she was still a student. This first, successful endeavour gave her the confidence and the drive to take on many more ambitious projects, including the refurbishing of some famed venues in the likes of Bus Palladium night club, Alcazar Cabaret and Salle Pleyel – a revered concert hall in the heart of Paris.

Besides her work in the luxury sector – including Louboutin and Cartier boutiques – the talented architect creates precious, strong and inspiring atmospheres for private clients who enlist her help to inject a touch of colourful, eclectic chic into their homes. Tapping into her Mediterranean roots, Laura has created some awe-inspiring interiors by mixing the most surprising colours and contrasting textures. All her projects are imbued with a joyfully laid-back feel, marked by a seamless juxtaposition of styles. Eclectic, yet feminine, her interiors are a true, personal interpretation of classic settings revisited with an eye for comfort and beauty, without ever sacrificing the harmony and balance of the space.

Recipient of the 2019 Maison & Objets Designer of the Year award, Laura Gonzalez has just launched her own collection of furnishings, designed to complement her projects. True to her signature style, she has created an array of designs that reflect her many inspirations and her great talent for colours. Side tables, footstools, armchairs, sofas, ceramic sconces, lacquered wood chairs… These covetable pieces, all made in France and Portugal by the best craftsmen, express her vision of liveable furniture that brings a bold, poetic touch to the space.

Laura Gonzalez

Laura Gonzalez founded her Parisian agency at 24, while still a student at the Ecole nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris-Malaquais. Since then, she’s been making a name for herself in the world of interior design delivering fantastic projects. Putting her motto into practice, “Live each project as a unique experience”, Laura was commissioned the 2021 Women Pavilion in Dubai, and has created some awe-inspiring interiors for luxury brands including Louboutin and Cartier. For the famed jeweler, she redesigned the historic 5th Avenue store in New York, and the “residence”, the private salon at the Paris Flagship in rue de la Paix, elevating the retail experience with her unmistakable style.
