Spotted On Ad Intérieurs: Humbert & Poyet

Some of our favorite designers are on show in Paris; and their best designs are available on The Invisible Collection!

To celebrate its 10th edition, AD Intérieurs staged a wonderful exhibition in Paris, inviting 13 design and architecture studios to create some original liveable spaces. Among the designers in the spotlight, five names should sound familiar, as they are part of our roster of talents: Bismut & Bismut, Humbert & Poyet, Atelier Tristan Auer, Thierry LemairePierre Gonalons and Stéphane Parmentier artistic director of Creations Dragonfly. All of them displayed their usual unsurpassed creativity to conceive the most unexpected dreamlike spaces.

Humbert & Poyet’s La Salle de bain Néoclassique – an otherworldly bathroom in brass and marble :

For this year’s theme “Metamorphosis” a bathroom was designed in a neoclassical spirit inspired by the architecture of Palladian villas. The decor’s proportions give the impression of walking into a perfectly symmetrical temple. The strong volumes contrast with the softness of the materials. The arches are ornamented with scales that were carved and metalled. The wall decor surrounds two benches in the center of the space that are covered with velvet. The sculpted bath from a solid block of green marble and the theatrical shower, shaped like a brass cage, are the centrepieces of the space.

Humbert & Poyet

Design and fashion enthusiasts Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet founded their studio Humbert & Poyet in 2008. Both passionate about the great French tradition of the Decorative Arts as well as contemporary art, they work like sparring partners creating extremely spectacular spaces imbued with a luxurious feel. From the start, their unique style, bold and grandiose, has set them apart and given them the opportunity to work on some high profile commercial projects, such as restaurants and fashion stores. In less than ten years, the creative duo has put its stamp on some of the trendiest venues in the world.
