Through this creation, Hélène Nepomiatzi sought to highlight all the savoir-faire of leatherwork, notably with double-sided fringes in full-grain calfskin, edge dyeing, base covering, and hand stitching. The pompom is an iconic accessory in leather goods, and its reinterpretation as a lighting fixture gives it a new function. The sensual movement of the fringes adorns the Pompom lamp like a dress. The lampshade cover, shaped like a disc, completes the lamp’s silhouette like a hairstyle or a hat. Hand-made in France in our workshop by craftwomen masters following the traditionnal leatherwork know-how.
