The CTA Cabinet by Maxime Lis is a monomaterial piece crafted in polished aluminium, embodying French craftsmanship. Inspired by 18th-century secret furniture, long admired by the designer, it conceals a subtly integrated double bottom. Also known as the Moduloir, the cabinet balances function and intrigue, exploring the notion of concealment and inviting a progressive sense of discovery.
Founded on January 1, 2025, from the merger of the Mobilier national and the Cité de la céramique – Sèvres & Limoges, the Manufactures Nationales unite four centuries of heritage with contemporary creation to champion excellence in French craftsmanship. This unique public institution brings together museums, manufactories, restoration workshops, and design studios, encompassing over 53 specialized craft disciplines.
