The Contraste Table designed by Space Factory raises the question of the cook’s place at the table with its hybrid nature. The interplay between the marble and oak renders it materialistically hybrid as the two materials join together to form a single tabletop, creating both contrast and harmony. It is equally as hybrid in its function, being both a table and a worktop.
