He designed a trio of fixtures for Ozone, Phénix, Gélule and Diamant, crafted at the Ateliers Saint-Jacques.
The Diamant Ceiling Lamp designed by Joseph Dirand is not just a spotlight. Renowned for radical interiors with taut lines and black-and-white visual effects, from restaurant Monsieur Bleu to Chloé’s boutiques and the Surf Club in Miami, Dirand brought that same graphic precision to Ozone in 2016, launching a trio of fixtures, Phénix, Gélule and Diamant, of which this rotating spotlight is the most architectural.
Built as a cubic structure in aluminium with a white satin finish, the Diamant rotates a full 350 degrees on the ceiling, functioning less like a chandelier and more like a precision instrument for directing light exactly where a room needs it. Its geometric restraint pays homage to the modernist architecture that Dirand himself continues to reinterpret.
