The bedroom as we know it today is a fairly recent concept. Modernity introduced new ideas about lifestyle, including a different approach to intimacy in the home: the bedroom became its most private space. However, the principles of decoration have not changed much, nor have the essential elements needed to create a cozy, serene place to rest. The question is: how do we invent a new language when the grammar remains the same? Functionality stays intact, but form is renewed: a bed is still a bed, yet it can be minimalist or grand, plush or humble… Ultimately, it is about fulfilling one’s dreams.
