Like every year, we eagerly await the announcement of the winners of the Monocle Design Awards, one of the most prestigious accolades in the design industry. The recipients of the prize are selected by Monocle editors and correspondents who travel the world to find the “most inspiring products, models, structures and people” worthy of this honor as they “set the standard in both form and function across private and public spaces.” We are so honored and thrilled to be among this year’s esteemed honorees with the award ‘Champion of Craft’! It is such a boost to realize that the work we do at Invisible Collection resonates so positively withing our industry. With this great honor comes an even greater responsibility, inspiring us to continuously raise the bar.
‘Champion of Craft’ is truly a fitting award as it represents the values of savoir-faire and artisanship we cherish and foster, values that ultimately define our ethos. We share this award with the exceptional family-run workshop that craft the beautiful bespoke designs we showcase and sell. We also share it with le Mobilier national and with Chanel’s Métiers d’art de la décoration, the incredible specialty creators housed at le 19M in Paris, who collaborate with us on otherworldly, in-situ projects accros the globe. Our inspiration draws from the tradition of Arts Décoratifs, a time when icons like Jean-Michel Frank would call upon the best artisans to create interiors and furniture like no other. Today, we seek out and present contemporary talents who have made that century-old tradition their own and reimagined it. The Monocle Award is a lovely recognition of our commitment to continue championing savoir-faire, as we proudly proclaim craftsmanship the most timeless technology of all.
