A graduate of the Marseille School of Architecture and Fine Arts, Marine Peyre entered the design world in 2001 with the launch of her brand Cooked in Marseille. Her debut silicone collection—drawn from the lively, carefree spirit of the beach—introduced iconic pieces such as the Expres’soft cup and the illuminated Lampoule cube. Playful, innovative, and instantly recognizable, these objects quickly crossed borders and found their way into prestigious venues including the Miró Foundation in Barcelona and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Based in Paris since 2011, she founded Marine Peyre Éditions in 2017, a studio that embodies her distinctive approach to furniture design. The brand develops modular seating, entirely made in France, combining comfort, freedom of use, and creative boldness. Through collaborations with leading design publishers, Marine Peyre has established herself as a key figure in contemporary design, known for her ability to unite aesthetic rigor with a clear, forward-looking vision.
Marine Peyre’s universe is defined by freshness, freedom, and a strong sense of play. Positioned at the crossroads of art, design, and architecture, her work explores expressive, colorful forms, embraces unconventional materials, and places modularity at the heart of the user experience. Her objects do more than furnish a space: they transform it, animate it, and invite experimentation through intuitive, sensory engagement.
This approach has been recognized on several occasions by the FD100 by VIA award (2018, 2022, and 2024), which highlights the international reach of French design. In 2024, her Éclair au Chocolat bench entered the collections of the Mobilier National, marking a significant institutional recognition and firmly anchoring her work within the heritage of contemporary design.
Alongside her design practice, Marine Peyre also teaches at ESDAC Paris and CY University, sharing her expertise and enthusiasm with younger generations. Through teaching, she extends her commitment to creativity, transmission, and openness, contributing to the development of future designers.
