Dressed in Dedar

Stories News Dressed in Dedar

Discover “Dressed in Dedar” our collaborative capsule collection of exclusive pieces on view at Féau Boiseries.

We are delighted to unveil our first collaboration with Dedar: The Italian brand, known for its dazzling textiles, dressed ten of our iconic designs by matching the personality of each piece with the most gorgeous fabric.

“Dedar’s iconic textiles are true works of art, – say our co-founders Anna Zaoui and Isabelle Dubern-Mallevays – We have long admired their Italian genius for colour and pattern, their contemporary edge and unrivalled eye for craftsmanship – creating magical fabrics that transport each of us on a design journey through history – from Renaissance to 70s Italian decor. It was really exciting to play “design matchmakers” and to choose the most befitting, exceptional fabric for our most cherished pieces.”

The “match making” was quite a challenge, given the incredible array of fabulous fabrics to choose from, but in the end, we knew we had found the perfect match for each one of our coveted designs… here is our best dressed list:

The Colosseo Armchair by Laura Gonzalez is dressed in Tiger Mountain silk velvet inspired by Tibetan drawings. The Conversation Chair by Vincent Darré is upholstered in This Must Be The Place, defined by complex motifs that draw from ancient oriental imagery. Both are jacquard fabric, highly prized for its complex, textured pattern incorporated into the weave.

The iconic Alexandra Sofa by Charles Zana – recently spotted in Gwyneth Paltrow’s new home in Montecito – is dressed in Vladimiro, a precious kid mohair ultra-soft velvet. This fabric is made from the first shear of Angora goats, and is defined by its fine, lustrous, and durable fibers.

The alluring Khelone Ottoman by Pietro Franceschini is upholstered in A Soft Place high-pile velvet. This playful four-legged piece is part of a new line of furniture by the acclaimed Italian architect and interior designer who just joined The Invisible Collection.

The oh-so elegant lines of the Ebisu Sofa by Charlotte Biltgen are beautified by a gorgeous bouclé fabric from Dedar’s Karakorum Collection. The sculptural Artur Armchair by Oitoemponto stands out in a fantastic jacquard velvet called Tiger Mountain Fauve.

Alongside the “Dressed in Dedar” exclusive capsule, the exhibition comprises a selection of furniture and objects set in dialogue with Féau’s otherworldly décor. The magical labyrinth-like space is dotted with lovely bronze tables by Maison Intègre, delicate side tables by Floris Wubben, and a selection of eye-catching stools by Le Berre Vevaud. In addition, we displayed some of our favourite objects, including Jean Roger ceramics, Osanna Visconti’s bronze candleholders and a limited edition of artworks from Diptyque’s “Artists Collection.”

The exhibition will be open for visitation until the end of March by-appointment-only: Book your visit now.
