The Lapo Sofa, designed by Campbell-Rey, is a languorously inviting two-tone seat that recalls the effortless elegance of 1970s Milanese interiors, the era Duncan Campbell and Charlotte Rey return to again and again for its confident mixing of colour, curve, and craft. Deep and low, its silhouette encourages an unhurried way of sitting, arms draped and legs tucked beneath a generous, upholstered body.
Photographed here draped in Pierre Frey’s Teddy Mohair velvet, its seat in Aubergine and its back in Acajou, the sofa rests on spherical, hand-painted faux-coromandel feet, available also lacquered in a solid colour. Bespoke dimensions can be produced on request, and the sofa can be finished in a client’s own fabric, making the Lapo as adaptable as it is theatrical.
